Excel Industrial Doors and Shutters repair roller shutters for Pirtek in Leeds

Pirtek in Leeds approached us as they were looking for an experienced roller shutter manufacturer who could repair their existing roller shutters. When we arrived on location we soon realised that the existing shutters were severely damaged and had come off their runners. Obviously this lead their security to be severely compromised, which is why we have a policy of trying to attend emergency repairs within 24 hours.

After conducting a survey on the site and assessing the damaged caused, it was apparent that new guide rails were required. Following the assessment, we put together a quotation, which was approved prior to the work being conducted. This would include the manufacturing, delivery and installation of 16 3” pre-galvanised solid steel lath and double bottom rails. In order to refit these, we needed to remove the existing broken guide rails and repair the jammed curtain.

It was important to the customer that it could be complete with a quick turnaround, as it is key to them to keep the premises secure as they have stock containment inside. In this case we could repair the shutter quickly, and get them back secure in decent time. There are instances where this isn’t possible however, and in these case we will install a temporary solutuion to help keep the premesis secure until the reapir can be completed properly.

Following competition, Pirtek were very happy with the results and how quick the turnaround was, meaning they could get business back up and running again.
